I am a huge South Park fan, but normally I find their Christmas episodes to be a little below par for South Park. I still get an occasional laugh out of them, but for the most part, I'd much rather see an episode that isn't a Christmas special. Until their latest, episode 814, Woodland Critter Christmas. Done much in rhyme, this episode finds Stan in the middle of the woods where he stumbles upon forest creatures preparing for the coming of their Lord and Savior. They enlist Stan's aid in getting a star for the top of their tree and building a manger for the son of their Lord to be born in. Then the critters tell Stan that a mountain lion comes around every year and kills the virgin mother who is supposed to give birth to the Savior, so Stan goes and kills the mountain lion to help the critters out. At this point I was thinking it was going to be a normal, unexciting Christmas episode.

Then Stan gets back to tell the critters that the lion is dead. Upon learning the good news the critters cry "Hail Satan!" As it turns out, the Lord the critters worship is Satan, and not God as we all assumed. The baby the virgin porcupine is carrying happens to be the Antichrist. They then need a human host for the Antichrist so they can take over the world, so they find Kyle, who is a Jew and thus a nonbeliever in Christ and unbaptized. As it turns out, the story is being read by Cartman at school on "Write your own Christmas story day," and was written basically to insult Kyle and all the Jews. Only on South Park would you see a group of cute little forest creatures sacrifice one of their own to Satan and drink his blood.

I have to say, of all 125 South Park episodes, this has to be the funniest. I'm sure the people living below me were getting very annoyed with me laughing my ass off as Kyle interrupted the story with "God dammit Cartman!" And I thought Christmas specials all sucked.
